Description
22 Chapel Terrace is a small house, likely originally a manse, built in the early to mid 19th century. It features stucco over rubble with an original scantle slate roof that is hipped to the left, and a brick chimney located over the gable adjoining the chapel on the right. The house has a single room with an end entry and a double depth plan, standing two storeys tall. The southeast street front has two windows. The entrance is to the left, featuring a top-glazed four-panel door set within an original box porch that has panelled jambs, a machicolated cornice, and a pair of louvered doors. Above the entrance is a 12-pane hornless sash window. To the right, both the ground and first floor windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, all within original surrounds that include sills on brackets and a stucco architrave. The house has a plinth and a pilaster quoin strip on the left side, and a cast iron, ogee, eaves gutter. The interior has not been inspected.
