Description

Gulls Nest is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of stucco over rubble, with an asbestos slate roof and stuccoed brick chimneys on the side walls. The house has a central stair plan and is double-depth, comprising two rooms.

The south-east front, facing the street, is symmetrical with three windows. A central doorway is flanked by original four-pane sash windows set within moulded stucco architraves. The original box porch features panelled piers, louvered sides, a simple entablature with dentils, a shaped fascia board, and a pair of doors with fielded bottom panels and marginal glazing. A plinth and moulded cornice run along the front, topped by a simple parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
