Description
Morland Cottage is an early 19th-century house located in St Mawes, on the east side of Church Hill. The building features stucco over rubble, with some slate hanging on the rear. It has a hipped asbestos slate roof with slightly projecting eaves and painted brick chimneys on the side walls. The layout consists of two rooms with a central stair plan, a rear hipped wing, and later infill in the angle. The cottage is two storeys high and has a symmetrical south front with three windows. The central doorway is set within an original box porch that has an entablature. The windows are 12-pane hornless sashes in their original openings, framed by moulded stucco architraves. The interior has not been inspected.
