Description

The Farmhouse is a 18th-century farmhouse constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and some cob. It features a wheat-reed thatched roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends. The layout likely consists of a shallow double-depth plan with two rooms at the front: a parlour on the left side over the lower ground and a larger kitchen on the right, with a cross passage between and very shallow service rooms at the rear.

The exterior is two storeys high and nearly symmetrical, showcasing a three-window south-east front with a doorway slightly left of the center. The original window openings are small, and there is a 20th-century door with a thatched hood above it. Above the door is a 19th-century six-pane hornless sash window, while the other windows are mainly late 19th-century or 20th-century hornless sashes. There is a wider window opening on the ground floor to the right, featuring a tripartite sash. This farmhouse is notable for being one of only two houses with thatched roofs in the parish.
