Description

The Little House and flanking walls are a lodge and surrounding walls that were formerly part of Trevaylor House, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The building is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a hipped scantle slate roof with projecting eaves. There are stuccoed chimneys on the side walls. The plan consists of a double-depth layout with two rooms at the front and a central lobby or cross passage between them, along with a later wing at the rear left.

In terms of architectural style, the building is classical. It is a single-storey structure with a symmetrical two-window front facing southwest and a central doorway. The exterior includes an ashlar plinth and flanking coped screen walls, along with a distyle Doric porch that has a triangular pediment. The entrance features a 19th-century panelled door, and the original openings contain 20th-century casements with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
