Description
Trevaylor Cottage is a semi-detached house built around the early 19th century, featuring front garden walls and gate piers. The cottage is constructed of painted rubble with granite dressings and has a grouted scantle slate roof, with a brick chimney on the left party wall and the right gable end. It has cast iron ogee gutters. The layout consists of a two-room plan with a central lobby and staircase, along with a later 19th-century single-storey wing extending at right angles to the rear right. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical southeast front that has two windows and a central doorway, which contains an old ledged door. The original windows are 12-pane horizontal-sliding sashes. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to be little altered since the 19th century. The cottage has a shallow front garden enclosed by rubble walls, featuring a central gateway with granite monolithic piers.
