Description

Trevaylor Barton Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 18th century and was remodeled around the early 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble, granite ashlar, and has a part rendered front. The building features parallel scantle slate roofs with gable ends and brick chimneys positioned over the gable ends of the front roof.

The original layout probably consisted of two houses, each with a one-room plan, or it may have included a house on the left and a stable on the right, with the left side now having a wider room. In the 19th century, a parallel two-room range was added behind the original house, creating a double-depth plan.

The exterior is two storeys high and presents a fairly regular three-window front facing southeast, with a doorway located towards the right. The doorway has a ledged door and was originally wider. The window to the left was originally a doorway that has since been blocked, while the far left window is also blocked. The ground floor features late 19th or 20th-century horned sash windows, while the first floor has early 19th-century 12-pane horizontal-sliding sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
