Description

Trehaverne Cottage is a small house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The exterior is constructed of painted rubble walls, with slate hanging on the front first floor and the left-hand gable. It has an asbestos slate roof and a brick end stack on the left side. The house has a single-depth plan and a regular three-window front. The windows are spaced closer together towards the right side, with a doorway situated under the second window. The first floor retains original 12-pane hornless sashes, while the ground floor windows are later sashes set within enlarged openings. A panelled door is located within an open, wooden, elliptically arched porch, which features a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected. The property is surrounded by slate-coped painted rubble walls that flank the front and ramp down, adjoining a low forecourt wall. This wall serves as the base for closely spaced iron railings, which have fleur-de-lis finials and turned stanchions.
