Description
Hawkins Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and flat brick arches above the openings. It features a hipped scantle slate roof that slopes lower at the rear, with brick chimneys positioned over the side walls. The building has a shallow double-depth plan, comprising two rooms at the front: a large room on the left and a smaller room on the right, with a cross passage in between. There is a 20th-century wing at right angles to the rear of the right-hand room. The exterior is two storeys high, with a regular four-window front facing southeast. The entrance is located beneath the third window from the left on the first floor, featuring a 19th-century six-panel door and six-pane horned sash windows. The interior has not been inspected. Hawkins Farmhouse is part of a small group of listed buildings in a rural village.
