Description
This is a house located in Zennor, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a slurried scantle slate roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends. The house has a double depth plan, consisting of two rooms at the front: a much wider kitchen on the left and a small parlour on the right, with a cross passage in between that likely leads to the stairs. There is a late 19th century lean-to at the left-hand end of the building.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a three-window southeast front, with the windows and doorway positioned towards the right, making the doorway almost central to the overall fenestration. The entrance features a ledged door, and the windows are late 19th or 20th century four-pane horned sashes.
The house is part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet situated within the ancient field system of this area of Cornwall.
