Description
The structure consists of a piggery, a plague stone, and a cross, located immediately north of Bridge Cottage in Zennor. The piggery dates from the mid-19th century and is built from granite rubble and dressed moorstone, featuring a grouted scantle slate roof with gable ends. It is a small rectangular building that has three doorways, two of which are blocked, located in the east wall.
The plague stone, believed to be from the 17th century, is situated by the south gable end of the piggery. It has a small trough cut into the top, which was used to hold vinegar for disinfecting money during transactions. Nearby, there is a resited unfinished wheelhead granite monolith cross, which stands close to the plague stone and has no inscription.
