Description

The building consists of two adjoining ranges of piggeries, dating from around the mid 19th century. They are constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings. The roof is partly covered with slurried scantle slate and partly replaced with corrugated iron. The overall plan is L-shaped, featuring two rectangular piggeries that are connected to a later lean-to at the outer angle, with entrances facing south and east. The structure is single-storey, with doorways located at the front of each range. These piggeries are part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet situated within the ancient field system of this area in Cornwall.
