Description

The building consists of two adjoining ranges of piggeries, dating from around the mid-19th century. They are constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings, featuring some granite monoliths as jambstones. The roof is made of grouted scantle slate, although part of it has fallen, and there is corrugated iron covering part of the rear range. The piggeries are single storey and have irregularly spaced doorways at both the front and rear. This structure is part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet located within the ancient field system of this area in Cornwall.
