Methodist Church 170 Metres To East Of Goads Green

The Methodist Church, located 170 metres to the east of Goads Green, was built in 1881, as indicated by a datestone. It features snecked local stone with yellow brick quoins and dressings, and has a rendered right-hand gable end wall. The roof is slate with gable ends.

The church has an overall rectangular plan, with the liturgical north side facing the road and an entrance through an original 19th-century porch. The single-storey chapel has an asymmetrical front elevation, showcasing brick quoins, window arches, strings, and granite cills. The 19th-century gabled porch has a two-centred brick arch and a diagonally planked door. It is flanked by double lancet windows—two on the right and one on the left. The right-hand end, which is the liturgical east end, features a triple lancet window with a small lancet containing the datestone above, both with hood moulds.

In front, there are low rendered stone walls with granite coping and square-on-plan piers made of brick and stone rubble, topped with rendered moulded caps. The front also includes painted 19th-century ornate cast iron railings. The interior has not been inspected.
