Description
The unroofed lychgate at the south entrance to the Church of St Werburgha is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and granite. The lychgate features stone rubble side walls topped with large granite slabs that serve as benches along the inner sides. Additionally, granite blocks form a cattle grid between the walls.
