Description

Tamarisk Cottage is a farmhouse, now a cottage, likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone and features a steeply pitched cement-washed slate roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends. The building is single depth and has two storeys with a symmetrical three-window front. The central entrance consists of a partly glazed door, which is flanked by two two-light horizontal sliding sash windows without glazing bars. Above, there are two similar windows, with a smaller central two-light horizontal sliding sash window (each with two panes). There is a hipped projecting wing made of rubble stone, with a slate roof that continues down in a catslide roof, which is a converted outbuilding. The interior has not been inspected.
