Description
Callestick Farm Cottage is a farmhouse, or possibly a former pair of cottages, dating from around the middle of the 18th century. The cottage is constructed of killed rubble with a rendered cob upper section to the front. It has a steeply pitched asbestos slate roof, likely originally thatched. Brick chimneys rise from the gable ends. The original plan likely comprised two rooms with an entrance lobby or pair of entrance lobbies between them. A 20th-century lean-to porch now fronts the entrance on the left. The front elevation is nearly symmetrical, featuring three windows. The first floor retains original 18th-century 12-pane, two-light casement windows with wide glazing bars. The ground floor openings have larger, 20th-century replacement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
