Description
Tresawen Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 18th century. It features slate killas rubble walls and brick arches over the openings. The roof is made of grouted scantle slate with gable ends, and there is a brick chimney located over the cross wall towards the right. The building has an irregular plan, consisting of a three-room-long range that is built on a slope down to the right, possibly on the site of or remodeled from a 17th century or older house. The central part of the farmhouse is double depth and was likely deepened at the rear in the 19th century. The entrance hall is situated on the left side of this central section.
The exterior is two storeys high and features an irregular four-window front that steps down to the right. There is a doorway within a 20th century conservatory located under the window second from the left, with a 20th century door. The windows are mostly early 19th century hornless sashes with glazing bars, except for a horned copy on the right, all set in openings that are spanned by shallow segmental brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
