Description

GWENNAP COOMBE SW 74 SE 5/136 Chapel View - GV II Farmhouse. Circa late C18 early C19. Painted killas rubble and cob walls. Slate sills and wooden lintels. Half-hipped grouted scantle slate roof with brick chimneys over side walls. Double-depth plan with principal room on either side of central stair hall and secondary service rooms behind. 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3- window south front. 4-pane hornless sashes, probably original and formerly with 16- panes but intermediate glazing bars removed. Doorway slightly off-centre to left possibly narrowed with top-glazed 4-panel door. Cast iron ogee utter. First floor sills are not much higher than ground floor lintels. Interior not inspected but said to be little altered.
