Description
The Old Post Office is a pair of cottages, likely from the 18th century. They have a rubble stone base with stuccoed upper walls and an asbestos slate roof featuring hipped ends. A rendered brick chimney is located on the left-hand hipped end. The building faces the harbour to the north and is two storeys tall with a deep base and an asymmetrical front that has five windows.
On the ground floor, there are two 6-pane sash windows flanking a 20th-century bay window with glazing bars on the left. To the right, there is a 16-pane sash window and two 2-light casements, both with glazing bars. The first floor includes a 16-pane sash window, a 2-light casement with glazing bars, and three additional 2-light casements with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
