Description

Old Thatched Cottage is a house, possibly originally a farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of painted stone rubble and cob, topped with a water reed thatched roof and features brick chimneys at the gable ends. The building has a two-room central stair plan and stands two storeys high. The symmetrical south front has three windows and a central door, with a 20th-century porch added. The ground floor has 16-pane, 2-light casements, while the first floor features 12-pane, 2-light casements, all with wooden lintels. There is a small buttress on the left side and a rectangular stair turret at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
