GRAMPOUND FORE STREET (south side), Grampound SW 9248-9348 WITH CREED 7/65 House attached to west of April - Cottage

GV II

House. Mid C19 with few later alterations. Stone rubble with granite quoins and brick dressings. Bitumenised slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stack to right with brick shaft and front lateral stack to left with brick shaft. Plan: Double depth plan, with 2 principal rooms to front, the one to right slightly larger and heated from the gable end stack. Shallow rear service rooms. Exterior: 2 storeys, nearly symmetrical 3-window front; all windows are set slightly to the left in the front. Ground floor has C19 4-panelled door with overlight and cambered brick arch. Canted bay to right and left with C19 4-pane sashes to front and sidelights, with modillion cornices and pilasters. First floor has three late C19 margin-glazed sashes with cambered brick arches. The left end abuts the adjoining house. The right end has single light at ground floor to right and at attic level. Interior: Not inspected.
