Terrace of 9 houses. c1820. Brick with limestone dressings, party wall stacks and a pantile roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. Each of 2 storeys; 1-window range, Nos 42, 52 & 58 have 3 storeys; No.42 has 2 windows. Articulated by strip pilasters to a cornice and parapet; semicircular-arched doorways have open pediments on brackets, 6-panel doors and fanlights. Segmental heads to plate-glass sashes, some with glazing bars. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached wrought-iron basement area railings. Built along the New Cut of 1809.
