Description
This is a terrace of three houses located on York Road in Bedminster, dating from around 1820. The houses are constructed of stucco over rubble, featuring party wall stacks and a pantile roof. They are designed in the late Georgian style and consist of three storeys plus a basement, with each house having a one-window range. The front is heavily rusticated and includes a cornice and parapet. The left-hand semicircular-arched doorways are adorned with pilasters and open pediments, leading to six-panel doors that have raised and fielded panels along with fanlights. The windows have five stepped voussoirs and are fitted with plate-glass sashes that include glazing bars. The attached front basement area features wrought-iron railings with vase finials. This terrace was built along the New Cut, which was established in 1809.
