Description

4 and 5 Wellington Terrace are a pair of attached houses built in the early 19th century. They feature a rendered exterior with limestone dressings, party wall stacks, and a hipped roof covered in pantiles. The houses have a double-depth plan, standing three storeys high with a basement and a single-window range. They are adorned with pilaster strips leading to a thin cornice and a parapet that ramps up from both houses. The outer doorways include a 20th-century six-panel door with an overlight for No. 4, while No. 5 has a shop front with plate-glass windows and thin mullions, with a 20th-century door set back to the right. The first floor has 6/6-pane sash windows, and the second floor features 3/3-pane sashes. The projecting basement is complemented by a flagged pavement and wrought-iron railings. The interior has not been inspected.
