Description
The raised pavement, piers, and attached railings fronting numbers 1 to 10, Prince’s Buildings, were built around 1796. The construction combines pennant ashlar, rubble, and wrought iron. The raised pavement, which is flagged, connects to the houses via bridges. It is faced with squared rubble and features railings around the doorways, basement areas, pavement, and steps leading down. Square piers, capped at the top, support the railings.
