Description

A pair of attached houses of early 19th century date, situated on Wellington Terrace in Clifton, Bristol. The houses are built of stucco with limestone dressings, sharing a party wall stack, and have a double-depth plan. They are constructed in a late Georgian style, with three storeys and a basement. Each house has a single-window range. A thin cornice and parapet coping are accented by pilaster strips. The outer, semicircular-arched doorways have raised surrounds with key and impost blocks, topped by five-pane fanlights and feature six-panel doors. The windows are largely 20th century casements, with first-floor French windows leading to tented timber balconies featuring wrought-iron railings - lattice at No.19, and pointed arch at No.18. The basements project below raised pavements and contain outer doorways and 20th century windows. The interior remains uninspected.
