Description

Sion Villas is an early 19th-century attached house located on Sion Hill, Clifton, Bristol. It is a double-depth plan building in a late Georgian style. The house has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, and features a single-window facade. The exterior is rendered, with party wall stacks and a pantile mansard roof that is hipped to one side. Architectural details include pilaster strips to the cornice and parapet. The left-hand doorway has pilasters supporting a thin, flat canopy, and a semicircular arched doorway with a plate-glass fanlight above a six-panel door. A plate-glass shop window is present, accentuated by consoles supporting a blind box. French windows are located on the first and second floors, leading to timber tented balconies with steel railings. The interior of the building was not inspected at the time of listing.
