Description

No. 49 Ashley Road is an attached house built in the late 18th century. It features a limestone ashlar exterior, a brick party wall stack, and a hipped pantile roof that slopes to the left. The house has a double-depth plan and is designed in the late Georgian style, standing three storeys tall with a basement and a single window range. Architectural details include pilaster strips leading to a cornice and parapet. The left-hand doorway is semicircular-arched and is adorned with attached Tuscan columns, entablature blocks, and an open pediment. The doorway also features a fanlight and a six-panel door, with the top four panels raised. The windows are 8/8-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
