Attached house. Probably mid C18, partially refronted early C19. Stucco with limestone dressings, brick party walls stacks and a pantile gable roof. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys, attic and basement; 2-window range. A gabled front has right-hand door with a frame, plate-glass overlight and 4-panel door, and a timber canopy on brackets. Canted late C18 bay has 8/8-pane sashes in flush frames, and a timber dentil cornice. 6/6-pane sashes in flush frames and a 2-light attic casement. Scalloped barge-boards. Basement door. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached railings to entrance steps. Now one house with Nos 43-49 (qv).
