Description
31 and 31A College Green is a house that has been converted into shops and an office. It dates from the early 18th century and features a rendered exterior with limestone dressings, gable stacks, and a double-depth pantile roof. The building is designed in a mid-Georgian style, standing three storeys high with an attic and a four-window range. The 19th-century shop front is divided into two sections, supported by scrolled acanthus consoles under the fascia. There is a moulded eaves cornice, and the first floor has five stepped voussoirs above plate-glass sash windows, while the second floor features 6/6-pane windows in exposed frames. At the back, there are two dormers set behind a parapet, each with a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
