Description

This is a street lamp located approximately 10 metres to the rear of Number 9 Market Street in Poole. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel and a band that includes shells and the arms of Poole. Below the shaft, there is an enriched band, and the shaft itself has a decorative spiral binding. The lamp is supported by a scrolled bracket and has a tapered square shape with a cap and finial on top.
