Description

This is a street lamp located approximately 2 metres south-east of Number 2 on Market Street in Poole. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel and a band adorned with shells and the arms of Poole above it. Below the shaft, there is an enriched band, and the shaft itself has a decorative spiral binding. The lamp has a scrolled bracket supporting a tapered square lamp with a cap and finial.
