Description
Nos. 2 and 3 Church Lane are a pair of buildings dating from the earlier to mid-19th century. They have a painted brick facade. No. 2 has a slate roof, while No. 3 has modern tiles covering the common roof. The buildings are two storeys high, with No. 2 having one window and No. 3 having two windows, all featuring glazing bars. Each building has a door with a flat canopy above, and No. 2’s door is framed by a moulded architrave.
Nos. 1 to 12 Church Lane (excluding No. 5) form a group of local interest with Nos. 1 and 2 Priory Place, and No. 1 also contributes to a group of buildings on Silver Street.
