Description
Nos 4, 6, 7, and 8 Church Lane are a terrace of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are built of red brick, with No 4 featuring a brick eaves cornice. The roofs vary, with No 4 having thatch, No 6 covered in slate, and Nos 7 and 8 having tiled roofs. The cottages are two storeys high and together have a total of eight windows, all of which are casements. These cottages, along with Nos 1 to 12 (consecutive, excluding No 5), form a group with Nos 1 and 2 Priory Place, which are also of local interest. Additionally, No 1 is part of a group with buildings on Silver Street.
