Description

The Art Gallery and Picture Store at Red House Museum, along with the attached boundary wall along Whitehall, was built in 1887. Originally constructed as stables, a coach house, and a harness room for The Red House, it is now connected to the Museum by a gabled carriageway arch. The building features red brick and an old tiled roof, standing at one and a half storeys. A Gothic window is present in the north gable end. The red brick wall runs along Whitehall. This structure forms a group with the Red House Museum, its Art Gallery and Picture Store, the Museum Garden Wall, and the Churchyard Walls and Vicarage, and is also associated with the group on Church Lane.
