Description
21 and 22 Canford Magna are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, with a rear extension added in 1994. The cottages are constructed of brick and feature a brick ridge stack and a half-hipped thatched roof with a slated outshut. They have a two-room plan with a rear service wing and are two storeys high, presenting a two-window range. The outer doorways have cambered heads and boarded doors, with a thatched timber porch on the left side. The ground-floor casements also have cambered heads, and there are former dormers with leaded casements. The short rear wing has been extended in the same style. The central section between the former dormers was originally at eaves level but has since been raised. Inside, the cottages contain chamfered beams in the ground floor rooms and a front outer winder staircase.
