Description
75 and 77 Middle Watch are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, with an extension added in the 19th century. They feature a timber frame and plastered exterior, along with 19th century gault brick and a 17th century red brick ridge stack that has two reduced attached diagonal shafts. The cottages have a half hipped thatched roof and are one storey with an attic. Originally designed as a three-unit plan, they have been extended by one unit to the south and divided into two separate cottages. The front includes two flat-roofed porches with side entries and single light windows. There are four casement windows on the ground floor and three dormer windows above. The cottages are located on the pre-enclosure building line of the village green.
