Description
Hyghfoldes is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick, with some parts rendered, and features a 20th-century concrete tiled roof. The building has a single-depth plan and a later rear wing, creating an L-shape. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range. The front is double-faced, featuring a shallow timber pediment above a half-glazed door, cambered window heads on the ground floor, and 6/6-pane sash windows set in moulded exposed boxes. The end gables have projecting eaves supported by sawn purlins, which suggest that the roof was redone in the later 19th or 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
