Description
The gate piers and street boundary wall at Burton Hall date from the 18th century. The wall is 6 feet high and constructed of red brick with stone, although part of the coping is missing. It features interval and end piers, with the gate piers having panelled recesses and square caps. A section of the wall at the north end has been rebuilt. This structure forms a group with No 159, the wall and piers at Burton Hall, the adjacent milestone, and Burton Hall Lodge, with No 159 and Burton Hall Lodge being of local interest.
