Description
Dairy Cottage at Burton Green Farm is a building with a facade from the 18th century, though it is likely older. It features red brick with some grey headers on the side facades and has buttresses on the sides. The cottage has a thatched roof with brick kneelers and off-centre and end chimneys with cornices. It is two storeys tall and has four windows, including one rendered blank window on the first floor. The windows consist of sashes and casements, some with cambered head linings, all featuring glazing bars. There is an off-centre gabled porch with a plain and fishscale banded tiled roof.
Dairy Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 110 to 118 (even), the cartshed at Burton Green Farm, St Luke's Parish Church, the Sycamores, Nos 105 and 107 (the United Reform Church and Manse), and Nos 125 and 131, along with No 1 Footners Lane and its entrance wall. This group surrounds Burton Green, with several buildings of local interest.
