Description

The street boundary wall at No 17 (The Close) is an 18th-century structure. It is a buttressed wall that extends west from the house and is made of red brick with grey headers. There is an archway that leads through to the house, while the remainder of the wall serves as the north wall of the surgery. No 17 and its street boundary wall are part of a group with Holywell Cottage located opposite.
