Description
Burton Green United Reform Church Manse is a building dated 1875, although it appears to be from an earlier period. It features plastered walls and a slate roof, with a segmental gable and a round-headed window. The flat-roofed porch adds to its character. The manse itself seems to be from the 18th century, also with plastered walls and a slate roof, complemented by end brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has three windows with barred sashes. The central door is made up of six panels, with the top four now glazed, and it has a moulded architrave and panelled reveals.
The manse, along with Nos 105 and 107 (the United Reform Church), Nos 125 and 131, and Nos 110 to 118 (even), as well as the cartshed at Burton Green Farm, Dairy Cottage, St Luke's Parish Church, and the Sycamores on Salisbury Road, form a group that surrounds Burton Green. Additionally, No 1 Footner's Lane, Nos 125 and 131, Nos 116 and 118, and the cartshed at Burton Green Farm are recognized as buildings of local interest.
