Description
The Sycamores is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of Salisbury Road in Burton. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and three windows, each with flat gauged red brick arches and sash windows that include glazing bars. The central entrance door is accompanied by a small gabled wooden porch. There is also a one-storey outshut on the side of the building.
The Sycamores is part of a group that includes Nos 110 to 118 (even), the cartshed at Burton Green Farm, Dairy Cottage, St Luke's Parish Church, and Nos 105 and 107, which are the United Reform Church and Manse, as well as Nos 125 and 131 and No 1 Footners Lane, along with its entrance wall. This group surrounds Burton Green, with several of these buildings, including No 1 Footners Lane, Nos 125, 131, 116, and 118, and the cartshed at Burton Green Farm, being of local interest.
