Description

The Thatch is a 18th century building located on the north side of Martins Hill Lane in Burton. It features a facade made of red brick and has a hipped thatched roof with one and a half storeys. The roof includes two eyebrow dormers and there are two windows with modern leaded glazing, while the casements are generally found in older window spaces. A central brick porch adds to its character. The Thatch is part of a group that includes Woolland, Lark Cottage, West Quartleys, Yellow Cottage, and Kirkhill, along with Nos 61, 64, and 66 on Salisbury Road, all of which hold local interest.
