Description

Nos. 64 and 66, Salisbury Road are an early 19th-century pair of houses forming a small terrace in Burton. The facades are rendered, with that of No. 64 colourwashed. The roof is hipped and slate-covered. The houses are two storeys high, featuring two windows to each property; these windows are replacements, styled in an early 19th-century fashion, and include casements and bow windows. Each house has a central door, with No. 64 featuring a glazed porch. The buildings close the view at the end of the group of listed buildings on Martins Hill Lane (Northern Fork). These properties, together with Nos. 61 Salisbury Road, The Thatch, Woolland, Lark Cottage, West Quarteys, Yellow Cottage, and Kirkhill on Martins Hill Lane, form a group of buildings of group value. Yellow Cottage and Kirkhill are also of local interest.
