Description
Old Doctor's House and Copper Beech Cottage is a pair of houses dating from the mid to late 18th century. The main elevation faces the garden at the rear, while the entrance elevation features two glazing bar sash windows on the left, designed to match the adjoining Hill House. The garden elevation is constructed of rubble and topped with a pantile mansard roof that has coped raised verges and ashlar stacks. The building has two storeys and attics in dormers, with a total of four bays plus two in an L-shaped wing to the right. The fenestration is mixed, including a 1-3-1-light glazing bar sash to the left, a central two-storey 19th-century bay with 1-3-1-light casements, a 20-pane sash on the first floor to the right, and glazing bar sashes in the wing to the right. There is a modern door to the left.
