Description
Ford Cottage and Cleeve Cottage are a pair of houses dating from the early to mid 18th century. They are constructed of rubble with pantile roofs that feature coped raised verges. Ford Cottage has four storeys, while Cleeve Cottage has three storeys, with each building having two windows. Ford Cottage has modern window fittings, whereas Cleeve Cottage features 2-light casements, some of which have moulded mullions. The doors are also modern, located in the west gable of Ford Cottage and to the left of Cleeve Cottage. These cottages may have originally been used by weavers and are included in the listing for their group value.
