Description

The Old House is a mid-18th century house, which was remodelled and extended in 1910, as indicated by a datestone above the door on the left side. The house is constructed of ashlar, with a hipped roof covered in Cotswold stone slates, concealed behind a parapet with decorative panels and a moulded cornice. It is two storeys high, with attics in hipped dormers, and has nine bays. The windows are glazing bar sash windows set within moulded architraves, featuring end pilasters and a division between the fifth and sixth bays. A moulded string course runs along the front. A two-storey entrance porch, set back from the main facade, contains a panelled door, framed by an architrave with an open pediment enclosing a shield and the date.
