24 Bonnington Grove, Edinburgh

24 Bonnington Grove is a pair of semi-detached houses built around 1820, featuring two stories and an attic with three bays. The houses are constructed from cream sandstone rubble, with an ashlar front.

The front elevation is finished with stugged ashlar, including a base course, dividing band course, cornice, and blocking course, along with window cills and regular fenestration. Each inner bay has a panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight. There is a canted piend-roofed dormer for each house. The east and west side elevations are blank, with a shouldered wallhead stack at the center.

The rear elevation of each house consists of two bays, with a later addition of a single-storey projection at the center. The front features 4-pane timber sash and case windows, with larger lower sashes (10-pane on the first floor of No 22) and 12-pane windows at the rear. The houses have a piended roof and shouldered wallhead stacks, covered with grey slates.

The boundary wall is made of stepped rubble with an ashlar coping at the front and semicircular coping on the sides. There are flanking recessed screen walls with doors leading to the rear gardens.
